Opened on 27 May 1962 by the municipality of Esch, the management of the Gaalgebierg campsite has been in the hands of the “Camping Caravanning Club” since 1968 at the request of the municipality.
The campsite is located in the south of Luxembourg, 400 m above sea level in a quiet and wooded environment. Nearby is the Escher animal park, beautiful natural landscapes and sports fields.
The rental caravans are equipped with hotplates, refrigerator, cooking and eating utensils and TV with remote control. A gas heating system is installed in the caravan. If heating is desired, gas bottles can be purchased at the campsite, or rented for 10€ per day. Caravan and awning are smoke-free zones.

A paradise for children, … but not only! The entrance is free and the park is never closed.
Luxembourg is a true angler’s paradise thanks to its river waters and lakes. Trout, pike, pike-perch, eel, carp and many other fish species are found in Luxembourg waters.
Explore the galleries in the old part of our show mine in the same way the miners of the 19th century experienced it.
De Minett, as Luxembourgers call the land of the red earth in the south of the country, owes its name to the bright red iron ore that dominates the natural landscape.
On our campsite you will find, in addition to our 150 pitches, spacious tent pitches, sports fields and a playground.
Close to the entrance, opposite our reception are the washrooms and sanitary facilities. Electrical connections are available for each pitch.
